Product Testing & Analysis

Kaysun has extensive in-house testing and analysis capabilities to save our clients significant time and effort by identifying potential issues in molding prior to full production.  Many plastic injection molding manufacturers lack the in-house capabilities of Kaysun.

Kaysun utilizes simulation software to verify:  optimized gate location, areas of sink, knit line locations and predictive warpage.

Kaysun also offers Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as a valuable tool for predicting stress levels in individual parts or assemblies.   The finite element method may also be used for engineered thermoplastic parts to predict heat transfer, vibrational response, and fluid flow thru a part. Kaysun applies Finite Element Analysis to simulate drop tests, fatigue analysis and Linear & Non-Linear stress analysis. Kaysun currently employs Cosmosworks software for its FEA analysis.

Additional testing and analysis capabilities include:

  • Reverse engineering
  • Polymer Identification
  • Component Failure Analysis
  • Tensile / Compressive Strength Analysis
  • Impact Strength Analysis
  • FTIR (Material ID)
  • Melt Flow Analysis
  • TGA & DSC (Thermal Response)

Our injection molding testing and analysis capabilities ensure that your product or component is designed, manufactured and assembled in a manner that consistently meets your tolerance and quality standards.

Consistency, repeatability and peace of mind.
Kaysun delivers.

Material Testing

We’re more than an injection molding company. We are polymer experts.

Material testing is one of the critical-steps that our engineering team assists our clients with. As a leader in injection molding of thermoplastics, we use our 60+ years of polymer expertise to assist our clients in selecting the most appropriate cost effective resin for their plastic product design.

There are thousands of polymers to choose from. As a custom contract manufacturing company, we have our own in-house materials lab to perform in-depth testing to analyze and verify material compositions. To analyze replacement materials if transitioning from metal to plastic or bringing to market a new product, we will put the material to the test. From high temperature resins to glass-filled resins, Kaysun has the engineering plastics expertise to help you navigate the plethora of polymers for your product.
