2nd Shift - Hours are Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm, starting at $18.14/hour.

We have one opening on 2nd shift for a Quality Technician. The Quality Technician will work in a team to verify product by visual inspection and measuring of components.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Conduct regular visual inspection of product.
  • Operates automated inspection equipment, calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other miscellaneous inspection gages.
  • Accurately document inspection results in electronic system.
  • Quarantine non-conforming product identified to prevent defective product shipping to the customer.
  • Assists production team leaders and supervisors to identify and correct defective product.
  • Work as a team to support the continuous improvement initiatives of the company.
  • Supports, follows and enforces all safety policies and practices of the company and OSHA standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements & Working Conditions

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Blueprint reading skills preferred.
  • Must have effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, the ability to write basic reports and correspondence, and the ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively to employees.
  • Must have basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and have the ability to learn new software.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent’s, and to create and interpret bar graphs, SPC and run charts.
  • This position requires the ability to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Must possess the ability to address and resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Must be self-motivated and show initiative.
