IT Help Desk Technician

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for ensuring proper computer operation and full functioning technology in our office and manufacturing environments. This position will work closely with the System Administrators in the IT department.

Required Proficiencies, Background & Education:

  • An Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Will consider candidates that are actively pursuing an Associate degree.
  • ERP and SQL management experience a plus.
  • Must have strong technical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must.
  •  Must be able to translate daily business problems into business definitions and solutions for Kaysun; be skilled in interpreting and communicating technical knowledge to end users to allow them to achieve the highest productivity. Must be able to interface with all levels of associates in a professional and collaborative manner. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to handle Kaysun financial and employee information confidentially.
  •  Work onsite at Kaysun’s main office in Manitowoc, Wisconsin regularly Mondays-Fridays.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all incoming IT requests providing support and assistance to ensure smooth and efficient flow of company operations.
  • Review, prioritize, and escalate service requests as necessary.
  •  Maintain tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems and document for system maintenance and development.
  • Manage company printers and connectivity.

  • Work closely with our IT team to ensure our IQMS/Delmiaworks ERP and related software is running correctly.
  • Assist with diagnostics related to technology that interfaces with production machines and equipment.
  • Manage Cisco Unity VOIP phone system.
  • Assist with setting up and managing specialty software, like SolidWorks, Autodesk Moldflow, Surfcam, Mastercam.

  • Provide a high level of customer service and follow through to end users to ensure issues are resolved to their satisfaction in a timely fashion.
