Manufacturing Engineer

Kaysun Corporation, designs and manufactures complex, tight tolerance plastic injection molded products and assemblies for the defense/security, medical, industrial, and niche automotive markets.  For over 60 years, Kaysun has built an industry leading reputation of successfully meeting the toughest manufacturing challenges in diverse markets across the globe. 

We have an immediate opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes and process improvements in the manufacturing facility, in accordance with Lean Manufacturing initiatives and objectives of the organization.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies, profits and ensure employee safety.

  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

  • Act as liaison between tooling, engineering and manufacturing to ensure efficient production methods.

  • Evaluate customer situations to determine root cause and assist quality and manufacturing in resolving issues.

  • Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and materials; evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.

  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and cost information; provide to management for project planning decisions.

  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

  • Resolve technical concerns of manufacturing personnel regarding proper processing techniques.

  • Support, follow and promote all established safety policies and procedures.

  • Lead/support scientific molding usage on an ongoing basis.

  • Represent the company with vendors and customers in a professional manner.

  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives of the company.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3-5 years plastic injection molding experience is required; in lieu of a degree, 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position with demonstrated growth in injection molding is required.

Layout Technician/First Article Inspector/Metrologist (One Position)

Kaysun Corporation designs and manufactures complex, tight tolerance plastic injection molded products and assemblies for the defense / security, medical, consumer, industrial, and niche automotive markets.  For over 60 years, Kaysun has built an industry leading reputation of successfully meeting the toughest manufacturing challenges in diverse markets throughout the world. 

We have an opportunity for a Layout Technician to perform testing, layout, data analysis and reporting activities.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain department inspection schedule; and communicates schedule status to Engineering and Quality daily.

  • Program and operate CMM and VMM equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance of analytical and process equipment as required; inspect, adjust, and verify accuracy of gages and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications.

An Associate Degree in Quality Control or related field is preferred.  Extensive knowledge of metrology and inspection equipment, methods, and techniques is required.  Must have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).  ASQ CQI certification is desired.  In addition, to perform this job successfully, an individual must possess computer proficiency in a Windows environment, preferably with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.  Experience with IQMS or related integrated manufacturing software systems preferred.
