Our History

Over 60 years ago, Kaysun began as a hobby venture at a kitchen table. The first Kaysun products were toys (airplane propellers and model car kits), cookware and commodity items. In 1974, Richard Robinson bought Kaysun and quickly changed the direction of the company to a Wisconsin injection molding company to design and manufacture highly-engineered plastic products. Kaysun quickly became one of the country’s leading plastic injection molding companies. Decades later, this remains Kaysun’s focus.

After nearly 30 years, Richard retired as CEO and during that time considered selling Kaysun to an outside investment group. Concerns about an outside investment group taking over resulted in Richard choosing to keep Kaysun as a family owned and operated business. In 2007, two family members, Ben Harrison and Dave Robinson, purchased the Wisconsin injection molding company to continue the legacy of Kaysun and its deep commitment to its employees and to its clients who rely on Kaysun as their partner for high quality, critical use products.

With over 60 years of experience and expertise, Kaysun has grown from 3 people to hundreds of employees and has a state-of-the-art headquarters in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. We are very proud of how far we have come. It is through the dedication, talent and hard work of our employees that has enabled us to grow and build Kaysun into the leading custom contract manufacturing and plastic injection molding firm that serves customers across the globe.

Our Future

Our vision is for Kaysun to become the #1 provider of highly engineered injection molded products and value added services. We are committed to continued growth through serving our clients extremely well and listening to our potential clients’ needs to design and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations measured in terms of quality, reliability and creativity. We are excited about the impact we can have on the world by working closely with our clients to design and deliver solutions that lighten the load, eliminate lead, and reduce corrosive materials in the water supply. The opportunities ahead are exciting and with our team’s continued dedication and hard-work, Kaysun, a Wisconsin injection molding company, looks to the future with great optimism and excitement to remain a leader in plastic injection molding.
